Dani Carvajal insists the Spanish players did not mean to offend anyone despite two team-mates chanting that Gibraltar belongs to Spain.

Dani Carvajal, a 32-year-old right-back, insists that Spain had no intention of offending anyone or any country during their Euro 2024 celebrations after some members of the squad chanted ‘Gibraltar is Spain’ in front of thousands of people in Madrid, according to The Ufabet on Wednesday.

Captain Alvaro Morata and Rodrigo Hernandez Rodri were the first to start the Euro 2024 winning chant on stage, sparking controversy, with the pair being hand one-match bans by UEFA for their actions and will miss Thursday’s Nations League trip to Serbia, with Morata missing the final squad through injury.

‘There’s a lot of talk about it, but it’s never been offensive or controversial. Simply put, Spain has always been fighting England over Gibraltar, which is on the Iberian Peninsula, and it’s the final against England.’

‘There was a bit of shouting before the final and we won and it started to become a bit of a joke. If anyone felt offended, we apologise to the group, but let’s face it, they (England) never said they felt offended.’

However, while the UK has not publicly express its displeasure ยูฟ่าเบท, Gibraltar’s Premier Fabian Picardo was particularly displease, blasting Spanish dictator Francisco Franco as a bloodthirsty murderer from 1939 to 1975.
